What was the Spirited Away 1 plot?
The story follows Chihiro and Haku. While on their way to their new home, Chihiro, a ten-year-old girl, and her parents take a wrong turn and arrive at an empty village.

Later, Yubaba, an evil witch, turns her parents into pigs. The incident happens after her starving parents eat food from a mysterious looking empty restaurant.
Along the way, she meets Haku, who has the power to turn into a dragon, and later Chihiro leaves him to bring her parents back to the real world. Before leaving, they both promise to meet again.
Will Spirited Away 2 ever happen?
Unfortunately, there won’t be a sequel to Spirited Away. Despite rumors from some YouTubers and others, there’s been no official confirmation from the director or the studio. Studio Ghibli, known for the beloved film, hasn’t responded to fan petitions either.
Studio Ghibli is not known for making sequels. They focus on maintaining their credibility by creating unique masterpieces rather than making money from unnecessary sequels.
Unfortunately, this means a sequel to Spirited Away is unlikely. It’s disappointing for fans who hoped to see if Chihiro and Haku would reunite and fulfill their promise.
The ending of the first film feels complete and doesn’t leave room for a sequel.
